PHOTOGRAPHY WALK

The Opelousas Museum invites the community to join a Photography Walk on, beginning at the museum. This interactive event is part of the Where We Live: Opelousas Neighborhoods Project, an initiative that celebrates the unique spirit and identity of Opelousas neighborhoods through photography.  Participants of all ages are encouraged to bring their cameras or phones and walk together through nearby streets, capturing everyday scenes that reflect the beauty, history, and stories of Opelousas. From a game of basketball in the driveway to the charm of a local porch or corner store, these images will help document the heart of community life. Photos collected during the walk may be submitted for inclusion in the Where We Live: Opelousas Neighborhoods Exhibit, which will showcase selected works contributed by residents. This event is free and open to the public. All Opelousas residents are welcome to participate.
